Maafishi School

Hulhudhoo is located extreme southern most part of Addu Atoll.This Island consist a beautiful small primary school called Maafishi School. This school has grade 1 to grade 7.Its a government school that gives Holistic Education and follows the single session schooling. This school has a Resource Centre that provide activities and resources that will assist students and staff in becoming effective and discriminating users of information, developing a pattern of lifelong learning, and in fostering a love of reading, listening and experimenting.

Hulhudhoo Maafishi School Resource Centre

A school resource centre is a centre for the collection and distribution of various information for teaching and learning. The centre is systematically managed and planned by trained media workers who provide  various services in order to facilitate advancement in the quality of education

Maafishi School Resource Centre is running with the help of government, school management, teachers and parents. Each of them donates their full potential to rich the Centre. Government provides funds and Human resource to the centre. Parents donate books and other materials which enhance learning. Teachers add various links that can access resource suitable to various grades.  Hulhudhoo Maafishi School Resource Centre is      providing services to primary students and there are various links which provide O’level past papers.

Resource Centre is an important place, where school can consume the available resources at school to stake holders for the best achievement. The Resource Center of Maafishi School has different resources that benefit the teachers, students and parents.Among Addu City this is one of the best Resource Centre which has various departments.

These departments will play a vital role to develop an ongoing learning.

Objectives of the Resource Centre

• Improve the quality of teaching and save time.
•  Help teachers to use various resources with few time.
• Improve teaching and learning by providing various services such as Internet  , Library , teaching aids and  audiovisual equipment   under one roof.
• Encourage and motivate teachers and students to familiar with modern technology.
• Provide multiple sources to teachers and students for enhance teaching and learning.
• To establish a teaching and learning familiar to Maldivian context and today's curriculum.
