Learning and teaching. The school library provides a model for inquiry learning and building knowledge and confidence in seeking and processing information. The school library is pivotal to developing 21st century learners.
There is a large and growing body of evidence showing the impact of the school library on student achievement.
It is a fundamental resource for supporting students’ learning, and a key support for teaching staff. Your school library reflects and encourages collaborative learning and sharing of ideas.
Literacy and reading, School libraries are places for learning and thinking, and play a key role in supporting and developing enjoyment of reading and multiple literacies.

The library in the school is for the improvement of teaching and learning prcess. From the Maafishi School library students can borrow books on a scheduled plan and can take photo copy by paying. Inside the library students can access internet for further information.

Objectives 

  • Enhance the improvement and the standard of students performance.
  • Encourage students to become effective independent learners by selecting accurate knowledge on short period of time.
  • Provide varieties of materials for the teaching staffs to enhance teaching process and learning process of students.
  • Teachers and students make a habit to read for pleasure. 

Library Rules:
 
Eating and drinking are highly not permitted inside the Library. 
When librarian is not, teachers and students are not allowed to get inside the Library.
Students need to read silently.

Do not damage or lost a Library book.

School days                          7:00 am to 1:00 pm
School days                           1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
